Scheduling + Beginning therapy
To schedule an appointment, call 646.425.4293 or send a confidential email to carabrendler@protonmail.com.
While crises can provide a clear impetus to begin the therapy process, many people experience a general sense of anxiety, malaise, emotional reactivity, or sense of being lost in the everyday business of living life that can be reason enough to begin the therapy process. We live in an over-stimulating, over-scheduled culture that I believe is a breeding ground for disconnection from the self and one's own values and priorities. The therapy process doesn't have to begin in response to a crisis; it can be an opportunity to breathe space into our lives, reflect on how we live and the decisions we make, break unhealthy patterns, and create new experiences in old, as well as new relationships.
